{"ops":[{"insert":"As a tween I was obsessed with the Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington looks at first glance like he would like to play a Halloween or Scarecrow themed deck, but I wanted to go a little deeper into his character than just what meets the eye. \n\nWe know he likes: singing, being the center of attention, copying/steeling what others do, causing mischief, and add a splash of returning from the grave. So I made a Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel deck that does all that. After all, weren't we all a little allured by Jacks scoundrel nature as we sang along with him?\n\n"},{"attributes":{"link":"https://archidekt.com/decks/7960723/malcolm_the_pumpkin_king"},"insert":"https://archidekt.com/decks/7960723/malcolm_the_pumpkin_king"},{"insert":"\n\nThis deck wants to get Malcolms ability online as soon as possible and then use it to start free casting large theft effects to snag the best things on the table for its own. You can hold up mana to use interaction to protect Malcolm while continuing to filter through your deck and draw into more and more theft or copy effects. Cute interactions are using Treachery to ramp, only paying for the kicker on Rite of Replication, and using Lithoform Engine to double up your thefts. \n\n"}]}

Once you have amassed your fortune, the deck wins with Treasure token based win-cons such as Marionette Master, Cyberdrive Awakener, Rise and Shine, or Revel in Riches. Alternatively, you can win by parlaying your mass of treasure into a big X spell, such as Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate.\n\nAnd of course, the deck is blinged out with the coolest alternate art versions of things, because whats the point in being rich if you cant flaunt it? (I stopped short of going all foil)\n\nHope you enjoy the deck, and happy adventuring!\n\nGOONIES NEVER SAY DIE!\n"}]}
