2 years{"ops":[{"insert":"Rather than burying the lede, let me begin by saying that "},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"starting with our next deckbuilding contest, we will accept submissions on both Twitter and Archidekt"},{"insert":". \n\nAs a bit of an explanation, we had originally conceived of the contests as both a way of engaging our userbase and drawing in new users. By having everything shared via Twitter, players who haven't used Archidekt before could be attracted by the prospect of a challenge and a shot at some prizes. Nothing would have stopped us from still announcing the contest on social media of course, but seeing that flow of deck links below the announcement tweet is awesome for engagement. \n\nThat said, we've talked about this a lot internally over the past couple of days, and we think it's time to realign our priorities a bit. While we still believe it's deeply important to the prosperity of the site to continue reaching out to potential new users, we do not wish to simultaneously exclude a large portion of our pre-existing userbase. Some things that limit participation-- like regional contest laws-- we don't have control over. This is something we do. So while we will continue to accept submissions and run the finalist poll via Twitter, we will also accept submissions via the announcement newspost right here on Archidekt. I'll have to iron out the details before the next contest, but I can at least promise that much. \n\nWe sincerely appreciate all who have reached out with this request. Dunno if I should submit my recently built K´n´T GH Deck anyway because it´s basically all mainstream cards from EDHREC, with Labman and Approach as wincons (mostly winning through Smothering Tithe + Prosperity spells). Each country (and in some cases, regions within those countries) has their own contest laws. Attempting to adhere to each of them individually is not realistically possible for us right now. I do sincerely apologize for the disappointment because we certainly recognize that there's a world outside of the US and Canada and we greatly appreciate our users from all over. It's simply come down to a matter of whether we run a contest for some of our users or none of our users, and the former feels like the better option. \n"}]}

There's no guarantee that the user won't delete or modify the deck after the conclusion of the contest, but I'd imagine most will still resemble their contest-winning state for a while.
