The ability to use any one-mana burn spell, Reset or "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Dramatic Reversal"}},{"insert":" , and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Reiterate"}},{"insert":" to incinerate the world begs to differ. Big burn spells like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Blasphemous Act"}},{"insert":" or "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Chain Reaction"}},{"insert":" take out the whole table and give you an overflowing grip. The deck genuinely does not care that Aegar dies in the process; you'll either draw a combo or enough lands to recast the boss with ease.\n\nAegar's general spite towards other people having creatures helps make sure that you live long enough to fire a combo, and firther opens up other avenues of victory. Is an instant win the best? Sure, but stomping with "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Calamity Bearer"}},{"insert":" double damage against an empty fiend can remove players pretty quick just as forcing chump blocks earns you.\n\nThis is a deck that reminds you that "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Roast"}},{"insert":" eliminates the vast majority of powerful commanders (or often threats in general) and, presenting both linear threat and a nonlinear win. Since it draws so many cards it's fairly resilient. I've cast Aegar for 7 or even 9 and been happy with it once the board gets blown up, because that got me the fuel to reach the ending. It's hard to chip you out early because weak creatures that would do chip damage are fodder for burn and hard to ourvalue you late because it's a race against time with an instant speed combo. You've got mana rocls to go fast, counterspells to stop what you can't burn or protect your end run, everything a deck could really hope for.\n\nSo what are you waiting for?
