The main win condition of the deck is commander damage so it also has various equipment added in to help you get more commander damage through. \n\nThe deck itself is very quick, very consistent, and also very fun to pilot! \n"}]}

Its gruul kicker spells where you ramp as much as possible to cast kicker spell with a subtheme of +1/+1 counters. But, price is not the only concern that arises in newbies when looking to take that first step. Regardless of how little cash is invested in a deck, it still never feels good to buy something that doesn't give you a decent shot at winning. I mean, we're here to have fun, but we want to give the win our best shot, right? Furthermore, if the deck you've bought does the same two combos every time, you're gonna find yourself bored of it fairly quick. So, I am submitting the deck I believe is the most viable at the price point of $100 (basic lands excluded) and will provide the most interesting play experience: Prosper, Tome-Bound. (https://archidekt.com/decks/4777494/budget_prosper)\n\nProsper can be a complicated deck to start with, however, if you're willing to work a little harder, you'll be rewarded with a deck that will get better every time you play it! Prosper's gameplan is to cast cards from exile and generate Treasure Tokens when you do so, to pay for casting more spells from exile, thus making Treasure Tokens, and so on and so forth. This version of Prosper can win through the usual methods of cards like Mayhem Devil/Disciple of the Vault, however... I have added some more fun picks that will exile cards from your opponent's libraries so you can cast their scary creatures or spells for your own! Nothing's more fun than casting your opponent's cards back at them! This version of the deck asks you to think on the fly a little and improvise as you work to beat your opponent's with their own cards. No two victories will ever be the same with this slightly chaotic version of the popular Rakdos commander. \n"}]}

This one's a bant deck designed for edh beginners, with an emphasis on cheap interaction, small creatures that will grow over time, and enough card advantage that there will always be something to do (especially since we'll mostly be playing at instant speed). The commander Falco doesn't attract too much attention but is a nice value generator alongside any of the +1/+1 counter gatherers (such as Dragonsguard Elite or Chasm Skulker). The main reason why I like this deck is that it actually helps me play better, forcing me to consider when to use my spells and threat assess more accurately (and also practice some politics to let everyone know that I'm the one dealing with threats, so take it easy on me :) ).\n\nThere isn't any complex engine in this deck but a slight poison sub-theme and Second Sun as an alt-wincon offer some ways to spice up the game dynamic. The deck makes use of the suspend mechanic as a way to keep up in value without breaking the bank, and overall the deck aims to keep up with the table without doing anything too flashy so as not to become arch-enemy prematurely. (one possible direction for editing this list would be to swap in some group hug cards to gain allies along the way, seeing as you will likely be doing plenty of key removal/countering already). There's a few top end cards to look forward to, mostly taking advantage of the opponent's resources (Clone Legion, Mnemonic Deluge, and Ezuri's Predation), with Hullbreaker Horror and Jin-Gitaxias to act as game-enders if flashed in at the right moment.\n\nExcluding basic lands, this one comes out to about $65, so there's still some room to upgrade (whether it be more efficient removal/draw or getting some bigger lategame bombs or juicing up the manabase), but even as it is it plays smooth and keeps up just fine.\n\n"},{"attributes":{"link":"https://www.archidekt.com/decks/4579655/budget_banter"},"insert":"https://www.archidekt.com/decks/4579655/budget_banter"},{"insert":"\n"}]}
