If you so chose you could even include cards like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Laboratory Maniac"}},{"insert":" and focus on decking yourself, but for my playgroup and preferences I've since taken him out. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"As for the combo:"},{"insert":" if you cast "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Retreat to Coralhelm"}},{"insert":" while you have any creature that can tap to play a land (like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Sakura-Tribe Scout"}},{"insert":") you can dump every single land in your hand in one turn. If you just drew a few dozen cards this can feel like an extra turn spell with how much it ramps you. While technically infinite, it doesn't feel unfair or instant-win and both parts of the combo are useful independently. \n\nFrom there the deck has plenty of cards to give you ramp, interaction, protection, and evasion to get you where you need to go. There are several underused free counterspells like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Foil"}},{"insert":", that don't feel as bad as some of the more powerful free counters but are trivial to use when you've drawn 30+ cards. People have complimented that it reminds them of earlier Simic commander instead of being too generically good. Its got good protection but your opponents will likely get a chance to interact with your board. It can sneak out a win but you have to work to do it. Even if I can draw half my deck the wins have been surprisingly nonlinear. As a bonus, since Maro's are such niche cards, I've been able to slowly bling out the deck without having to dramatically increase the price.\n"}]}
