danaroach 5 years{"ops":[{"insert":"Just a generic comment; people on average tend to be less aggro to getting other stuff stolen if it was things they didn't have in play (Gonti) than if it's stuff they played (Merieke). I'm sure that's not always true, but by and large Gonti-type thefts generate way less threat than stealing stuff already in play or hand like with Merieke or Rubinia. \n"}]}

People don't have the same feel bads when you take things from their library instead of from their battlefield. It makes a bit of sense too since stealing something from the field is affecting that person twice by taking something away from them and adding it to your side.\n"}]}
