Built with the prompt in mind, I strived to make Everybody Dies! into the sort of deck that the worst kind of player brings to a table to not only pubstomp other players but to also draw out a game in the most painful way possible. \n\nThis janky cEDH deck focuses on turning yourself into an undying LICH LORD who can have their life be hundreds in the negative without a care in the world. You don't need to worry about what your opponents have on the board or what their win condition is, since your dream in life is to simply be untouchable. Zur helps tutor out our precious immortality engines/phylacteries. We have three phylacteries in (Phyrexian Unlife + Solemnity for no worries about damage), then the classic Platinum Angel and (Faceless Haven + Book of Exalted Deeds) to make it impossible for opponnents to win under any conditions. We don't have to lean on just one of these, but we need to make sure that we have at least one phylactery on the board at all times, especially as the game progresses.\n\nWhat makes this deck more evil/scarier than a typical high power deck is that these combos don't immediately end the game. We aren't really winning fast, we are simply keeping everyone else from killing us. Our dream is to become a creepy, untouchable little goon who uses cheap interaction to protect our immortality enablers while everyone else... just sort of does whatever they want. \n\nEventually, if we feel like it, we will make EVERBODY DIE by using Axis of Mortality or Repay in Kind to show all these mortals what it's like to have -452 life. If they somehow stop us from pulling them down to our level with a counterspell, then we can always just wait for everyone to deck themselves.\n\nLand destruction is included to protect faceless haven. \nMany of our card draw effects double as life drain, because at the end of the day we actually WANT our life to be at zero. \n\nNotes: While I tried to fit them in, the actual Lich-themed cards (Lich, Lich's Master, etc) just could not capture the immortal vibe as effectively. \n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"In \""},{"attributes":{"link":"https://archidekt.com/decks/5690593"},"insert":"Keenely Felt Issue"},{"insert":",\" I sought to incorporate the worst feeling mechanics: counterspells that are whipped out when someone was tapped out. Instant speed removal when someone had no mana. Graveyard recursion so it seems impossible to remove threats, they're only delayed. Creatures that leave hordes of tokens if killed. Poison counters delivered and proliferated without having to hit face. Multiple alternate win conditions in case opponents lose track of your board state (did they check if you have 13 cards in hand? Did they check if you would have that many after your One Ring activation? Did they check the growth counters on simic ascendancy? Did they pay attention to how many gates you have in play?) along with enough potent equipment and +1/+1 counter adding to stack Keene up with commander damage means you have all the ways to invalidate your opponents' actual life totals covered, but the amount of bodies you can cheat onto the field and ramp onto the field also means regular old beatdown is an option. Whether or not this deck is actually the worst threat at the table, everyone will hate it and want to kill it with fire; playing this atrocity makes you, definitely, the problem.\n"}]}
